Sensei
Donovan Potter, San-Dan, began training 1985 in Vo Lam (Vietnamese) Kung Fu.
In 1987 he began training in Naples, FL where he was promoted to Shodan in
1991 and began teaching under Sensei Victor Ortino, along with competing in
numerous competitions. While serving in the military he trained in Tao-jujitsu
and Aikido and then returned to Naples where he was promoted to Ni-Dan and
continued teaching. Sensei Donovan then moved to TX where he began fighting
full contact and continued his training in Aikido. Sensei Donovan was promoted
to San-Dan in 2005. Sensei Donovan has been a law enforcement officer since
2000 and is also a member of the Parker County SWAT team. His law enforcement
duties also include teaching rape prevention and self defense courses. Sensei
Donovan currently teaches Okinawa Kenpo Karate and Kobudo, through his
affiliation with Sensei's Paul and Victor Ortino, at the Dharma Ryu Dojo.
